Nicole Marie Merringer and Anthony Allen Paxton were married Oct. 9 at Walter’s Mill covered bridge at the Somerset Historical Center. The Rev. Joseph Gray performed the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Bill and Joann Merringer of Somerset. The bridegroom is the son of the late Larry and Theresa Paxton. They were represented by their daughter, Danielle Paxton.
Flower girl was Laikyn Paxton, the bridegroom’s niece and Zane Paxton, nephew of the bridegroom, was the flower girl attendant. Ringbearers were Lance Eppley, nephew of the bridegroom and Mason Lape.
Best man was Mark Gontis. Ushers were Matthew Paxton, brother of the bridegroom and Andrew Hornick.
Special readers were Debra Ferry, great aunt of the bride and Kristy Eppley, sister of the bridegroom.
Organist and soloist was Audrey Gray.
A reception was held at the Oakhurst Tea Room. The couple went on a cruise to Port Canaveral, Fla. then the Bahamas.
The bride is a 2007 graduate of Somerset Area High School and is employed at Augustine Plastics Inc.
The bridegroom is a 2001 graduate of North Star High School and is employed at Gontis Livestock.
