The Cambria County Senior Hockey League Warriors competed in semifinals March 2 against North Hills in New Kensington and won 2-0.
Then, March 3, they competed against Butler Valley in the championship game. The teams went into double overtime with a tie game of 1-1.
A five-man shootout followed the scoreless overtime period. Butler Valley scored with their third shooter, but the Warriors answered back with their fifth shooter, Brennan Hearn.
Finally, in another round of shootouts, the Warriors’ 13th shooter, Brody Cislo, sunk the game-winning shot.
Head Coach Doug Lohr said that the Warriors’ coaches and parents could not be more proud of the players and their tireless efforts.
