Harvey Walker Moser, 83, of Meyersdale, died March 3, 2011, at Select Specialty Hospital in Johnstown. Born Jan. 3, 192, in Meyersdale. A son of the late Ralph H. and Susan A. (Walker) Moser. Also preceded in death by sisters: Blanche (Moser) Kuntz, Carrie (Moser) Rodamer, Bernice (Moser) Hoover, and brother William Walker Moser. Survived by his wife of 51 years, Nancy (Phennicie) Moser; children: Jeffrey A. Moser and his wife Lisa, Meyersdale; Bonnie Yommer, wife of Ken, Grantsville, Md.; Andrew W. Moser and his wife Nicole, Middletown. Grandchildren: Rachelle Moser, Lakeland, Fla.; Corinne Moser, Meyersdale; Matthew Moser, Meyersdale; Brandi (Yommer) Ross and her husband Shaun, Walkersville, Md.; Kristin Yommer, Boynton; Keena (Yommer) Shaffer and her husband Joshua, Mohrsville; Heath Moser and Quinn Moser, Middletown. A great-grandson, Austin Ross, Walkersville, Md. A brother of Dorothy (Moser), wife of Norman Gnagey, Vt. Also survived by his sister-in-law, Roberta Moser, Meyersdale; and brother-in-law, Earl Rodamer, Springs. Harvey was a lifetime member of the Meyersdale Church of the Brethren, where he served as director of the church choir and men’s chorus for over 50 years. He participated in the Somerset County Band, where he played trombone. He was a lifelong dairy farmer and maple producer, and was active in many farm organizations. A graduate of Meyersdale High School and California State Teachers College. Friends will be received 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Price Funeral Home Meyersdale. Service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Meyersdale Church of the Brethren, with Pastor Michael Swick officiating. Interment Meyersdale Area Union Cemetery.
