Eppley is participating in the Highmark Walk, June 1, at Johnstown’s Central Park, to raise $3,000 for the Epilepsy Foundation Western/Central Pennsylvania. Although epilepsy is a difficult condition to have, Anna said she won’t let it stop her.
“Just because I can’t drive and swim alone doesn’t mean I can’t do anything I want to do,” she said.
To reach her goal, Eppley is raising money through online donations and fundraisers, including a Basket Party on June 2. The Basket Party is to take place at Central Cambria High School in Ebensburg from 2 to 4 p.m.
More information is available at www.tiny.cc/xaqhxw or www.walkforahealthycommunity.org/whc3/jtown/index.shtml. Eppley and her team created their own slogan: “Butterflies fly free — help us fly free from epilepsy.”
