First National Bank of Pennsylvania has announced that it will be closing its Salisbury branch on Nov. 9.
The branch's accounts will be transferred to the Meyersdale branch, located along Main Street. The two offices are about 6 1/2 miles apart from one another.
What will happen to the branch's employees remain a question mark. The bank did not disclose the number of people employed by the branch. Vincent J. Delie Jr., president and CEO of First National Bank of Pennsylvania, has said that the bank is looking to offer those employees positions as they become available "through attrition and other growth opportunities."
It was previously announced that the Boswell and New Centerville branches will also close Nov. 9.
