Confluence Lions choose Phillippi

Rachel is the daughter of Scott and Roxanne Phillippi of Confluence. She is 18 years old and is a senior at Turkeyfoot Valley Area High School. She has two younger sisters, Samantha and Rebekah.
Phillippi is involved in many school activities as well as community activities. She is the student council vice president, a member of the National Honor Society, SADD, music department treasurer, graduation pianist, a PumpkinFest window painter, plays varsity basketball, candidate for the 2013 Homecoming Court, junior high girls and boys basketball statistician, a member of the band and chorus, high honor roll, student of the month, student of the Month for the Somerset Exchange Club, and she was awarded the performing arts scholarship in the Outstanding Young Woman Scholarship Program for the Class of 2013.
Phillippi is a member of the Seldom Scene Players Theatre Group, a member of the community choir, and volunteers her time coaching soccer and teaching younger students music. Phillippi is a student youth leader at the New Life Covenant Church of God and also a worship band leader.
Phillippi is attending Pennsylvania Highlands Community College for her general studies, and then plans on transferring to Indiana University of Pennsylvania for psychology.
