Clifford W. "Kip" Williams, 66, of Mayport, formerly of Somerset
Clifford W. “Kip” Williams, 66, of Mayport, died suddenly on Saturday morning, Dec. 3, 2011, at DuBois Regional Medical Center. Born April 14, 1945, in Somerset, he was the son of Lester and Esther (Minerd) Williams. He married Fay Horner on Oct. 31, 1963. She survives. Mr. Williams worked for the Pennsylvania Game Commission. After he retired from there, he worked as a security guard for Allied Barton of St. Marys. He enjoyed the outdoors, was an avid hunter, camper and storyteller, loved being with his children and grandchildren, loved his work, and taking shortcuts while driving. In addition to his wife of Mayport, survivors include three sons: Brian Williams of Strattanville, Steve Williams and his wife, Mary of Tampa, Fla., and Marshall Williams and his wife, Angie, of Hawthorn; a daughter, Brenda George and her husband, Brian of New Bethlehem; six grandchildren: Kyle and his wife, Jill, Kara, Josh and his wife, Elise, Maleah, Cody and Caleb; a great-grandson, Gavin; two brothers: Lester Williams Jr. of Latrobe and Edward Williams of Middletown, Conn., and two sisters: Shirley Tallion of Somerset and Linda Weitz of St. Petersburg. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, William Williams, and an infant sister, Anna Williams. Interment was in Shannondale Union Cemetery, Redbank Township, Clarion County.
