Frank Cunsolo, the executive director and chair of the Arcadia Board of Directors said that the show would be one for all ages.
"I encourage mom, dad, grandma and grandpa to bring their favorite young person to see one of everyone's favorite holiday production," he said.
Cunsolo said the play, written by Victor Herbert, is a "captivating classic which begins with the tinkle of a music box and slowly one by one the characters come to life on stage. Alan, Mary, Widow Piper, Jack, Jill and Barnaby tell the story through dance in the amusing opening sequence.
"The production is filled with unforgettable songs and sparkling talent. Babes in Toyland brims with humor and heart. I invite everyone to cross the boarder with us, you will always be happy there," he said.
Cunsolo added that shows such as Babes in Toyland are an important part of the Arcadia Theater.
"When we first started the theater, part of our mission was to have shows for children, which has proven to be a number one success story with our Coal-ala-Bear series. We feel it is important for young people to attend these children's shows to see what theater is all about."
