The following were taken from police records:
•A 31-year-old Elk Grove Village man was arrested at 8:28 a.m. Oct. 14 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving on a suspended license for a previous DUI, fleeing and eluding police, reckless driving, speeding, two counts of improper traffic lane usage and two counts of disregarding a traffic light. He was speeding near Palatine Road at Forrest Avenue, but fled through oncoming traffic when asked to pull over, then drove through a red light at Wheeling Road and later abandoned the vehicle in the 400 block of Denniston Court. A Wheeling officer found him at Hintz Road just east of the railroad tracks.
•The front door of a home in the 2300 block of East Gregory Street was forced open between 8 a.m. and 5:26 p.m. Oct. 21. Stolen items included an HP 14-inch laptop computer, two iPads, an iPod Touch, two Coach handbags and an unknown amount of jewelry.
•The front door of a home in the 1600 block of West Thomas Street was damaged between 1:15 and 1:30 p.m. Oct. 21.
•The lock on the rear door of the Prospect Animal Hospital, 2326 E. Rand Road, was opened between 4 p.m. Oct. 18 and 8:30 a.m. Oct. 19 and approximately $100 in cash and a bottle of Ketamine animal tranquilizer were stolen.
•Two cases of Johnny Walker Black whiskey valued at $700, six bottles of Patron tequila valued at $300, four bottles of Grey Goose vodka valued at $120 and three cases of beer valued at $100 were reported stolen after entry was made through the unlocked back door of the Byul Bahn restaurant, 234 E. Golf Road., overnight on Oct. 17.
•The front door of a home in the 200 block of West Central Road was forced open at 2:24 p.m. Oct. 18, but nothing was reported missing.
•An audio cable and cell phone charger were reported stolen Oct. 18 from a gray 2009 Nissan Versa parked in an apartment parking lot in the 4100 block of Bloomington Avenue.
•The driver's side window of a gray 2012 Kia Sedona parked in a lot in the 500 block of West Algonquin Road was shattered and two Apple iPhones valued at $200 each were stolen, along with a black leather wallet containing approximately $90 in cash and identification cards.
•Three women stole 30 to 40 North Face jackets from Dick's Sporting Goods, 401 E. Palatine Road, at 4:30 p.m. Oct. 23. A similar theft occurred last year at the same store, and other area stores have reportedly similar thefts this year.
•A black Apple iPad valued at $580 and left unattended in the cafeteria at St. Viator High School, 1213 E. Oakton St., was reported stolen at 11:25 a.m. Oct. 8.
•The roof rack valued at $308 on a 1997 Nissan Maxima was reported removed between 6:30 p.m. Oct. 18 and 3 p.m. Oct. 20 while the vehicle was parked in the driveway of a home in the 1300 block of South Fernandez Avenue.
•Two Dyson vacuum cleaners valued at $721 each were reported stolen at 5:21 p.m. Oct. 20 from Kohl's, 800 W. Dundee Road.
•A flammable liquid was poured into a crack and ignited in a front walkway in the 2000 block of Charter Point at 8:25 p.m. Oct. 19. Only the sidewalk was damaged.
•An attempt was made to pry open the rear door at the Edge Table Tennis Club, 318 E. Golf Road, between 10:15 p.m. Oct. 16 and 10 a.m. Oct. 17.
•A 24-year-old Des Plaines man was arrested at 8:14 p.m. Oct. 23 and charged with driving without a muffler, driving on a driver's license restriction violation and possession of marijuana after being stopped at Barclay and Aptakisic roads.
•A 25-year-old Lakemoor man was arrested at 10:13 a.m. Oct. 24 and charged with driving while texting and driving on a suspended driver's license after a traffic stop at McHenry Road and Pauline Avenue.
•A 62-year-old Chicago woman was arrested at 2:08 p.m. Oct. 24 and charged with driving without a valid license and speeding along Deerfield and Old Barn roads.
