The following items were taken from police reports.
Two men in their 20s stole an Apple iPhone 5 with a red case worth $600 by force from the hand of an Oak Park woman on the 500 block of North Austin Boulevard at 4:15 p.m. July 4 and fled east across Austin.
A 22-year-old man living on the 500 block of Gunderson Avenue was charged July 3 with a domestic battery that allegedly happened the previous day. He also was wanted on a DuPage County warrant for a traffic violation.
A 33-year-old man living on the 600 block of Garfield Street was arrested at 6:50 p.m. July 2 and charged with violating an order of protection.
An Oak Park youth was arrested at 5:10 p.m. July 1 on the 100 block of Madison Street in connection with the battery of a River Forest resident that happened May 9 on the 200 block of North Scoville Avenue. He was turned over to his parents.
A 43-year-old man living on the 1000 block of North Taylor was arrested June 30 in connection with an aggravated assault that happened on the 100 block of Madison Street.
An Oak Park boy was arrested at 11:28 a.m. June 30 on the 1100 block of Highland Avenue in connection with a domestic battery and turned over to his mother.
A 19-year-old Chicago man was charged at 3:29 a.m. June 29 with domestic battery of a Maywood resident on the 100 block of Erie Court after he allegedly continually pushed the victim.
A witness confronted a man leaving a garage on the 800 block of South Euclid Avenue at 10:10 a.m. July 4 and carrying two black tool cases. The burglary suspect, 20 to 30 years old and about 6 feet 2 inches, said he had permission to remove the cases. He then entered the passenger side of a silver 2001 vehicle driven by another man.
A black, 21-speed men's Giant Cypress bicycle and Garmin Nuvi 1300 GS unit both worth $400 were stolen out of a garage on the 600 block of South Humphrey Avenue. Entry was made through an unlocked side door between 7 p.m. July 3 and 12:42 p.m. July 4.
Some 100 feet of baseboard radiator and piping worth $5,000 were stolen out of a vacant home on the 1200 block of North Humphrey Avenue after a security gate and door were pried open between 8:15 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. July 3.
Blue Dell and black HP laptop computers, a black backpack, a PlayStation game system, duffel bags, miscellaneous DVDs and a Nintendo Wii — all worth $1,230 — were stolen between 6:45 and 7 a.m. July 1 out of a home on the 1000 block of Pleasant where a glass windowpane was broken and back door lock was pried open.
Someone broke the window of a vehicle parked on the 400 block of North Scoville Avenue between 11 p.m. June 30 and 8:10 a.m. July 1 and unsuccessfully tried to remove a DVD/CD player and LCD screen, causing $100 in damage.
A basement window was broken and deadbolt lock damaged at a home on the 800 block of South East Avenue between 3 and 4:06 p.m. July 1, causing $100 damage. No entry was made.
Cash, diamond rings and earrings, a women's watch and a necklace — all worth $2,210 — were stolen from a home on the 1000 block of North Marion Street where the rear door lock was pried open between 10:30 a.m. and noon June 28.
Two vehicles were ransacked in an unlocked garage on the 1200 block of Forest, and headphones worth $25 were stolen out of one of the cars between 2:30 and 5:15 p.m. June 30.
No loss was reported after someone entered and ransacked an unlocked vehicle on the 700 block of Clinton Avenue between 10:30 p.m. June 28 and 7:30 a.m. June 29.
A car parked on the 700 block of South Kenilworth Avenue was entered through an unlocked door and ransacked between 5 p.m. June 28 and 10 a.m. June 29, but no loss was reported.
A man in his 20s stole 21 Apple iPhones worth $16,337 out of a security locker of a business on the 900 block of Madison Street between 6:45 p.m. June 27 and 7:20 p.m. June 28. He left with two women, one 22 to 25 and the other in her 40s. The man was about 6 feet tall and of average build.
