The following items were taken from police reports:
•A makeshift skateboard park was assembled of materials from businesses, and 10 landscaping pavers were smashed in a parking lot between Sept. 27 and Sept. 30 in the 700 block of West Childs Street.
•A concrete wall was spray painted near Carlton Street and Liberty Drive, south of the Illinois Prairie Path pedestrian bridge on Sept. 28.
•A briefcase containing a laptop computer and tablet computer was taken from the 400 block of North Howard Street between 2:55 and 3:05 p.m. Sept. 28.
•A wallet was taken from Wheaton College's Blanchard Hall on College Avenue between 1:30 and 2 p.m. Sept. 27.
•A man who was naked except for a colored skull cap walked toward a woman and her dog in the Avalon Lakeside apartment complex between 4:40 and 5 a.m. on Sept. 25 .
•An outdoor metal patio chair was taken from a yard in the 900 block of East Illinois Street around 10 a.m. Sept. 9.
•A cell phone was taken from the pocket of an unattended sweatshirt in the 1800 block of Manchester Road around 2:11 p.m. Sept. 23.
•A 55-year-old homeless man was charged with fighting in the 500 block of Crescent Boulevard at about 5:58 p.m. Sept. 17.
•A 21-year-old Glen Ellyn man was charged with public intoxication near the intersection of Spring and May avenues at about 4:26 p.m. Sept. 17.
•Jewelry was reported missing from a bedroom in the 100 block of West North Avenue at about 5 p.m. Sept. 15.
•Copper wire used for street lights was reported stolen near the intersection of North Avenue and Keil Road at about 6 p.m. Sept. 20.
•Four sewer grates were reported stolen, bringing the total number of stolen grates to more than 40 since the thefts started last June. Three grates were reported missing near the intersection of Franciscan Way and North Avenue on Sept. 21 and another was taken near the 1800 block of North Neltnor Boulevard on the same day.
•Three electric heaters were reported stolen from a home in the 400 block of West Roosevelt Road at about 5 p.m. Sept. 17.
•A purse was stolen from an unlocked residence in the 800 block of Windsor Court at about 7:55 a.m. Sept. 20.
•Two West Chicago men, ages 27 and 29, were charged with battery in the 500 block of East Pomeroy Street around 12:56 a.m. Sept. 15.
•An 18-year-old Elgin man was charged with reckless driving near the intersection of Illinois Route 59 and Blair Street at about 9:52 p.m. Sept. 19.
