The first Fashion's Night Out event held in Chicago featured a two-week shopping extravaganza topped off with a big finale on Sept. 8.

Saks Fifth Avenue spotlighted shoe designer Brian Atwood for the official unveiling of its new shoe salon, 10022-SHOE. He graciously signed his signature stilettos. Bravo TV style guru Brad Goreski held court in the VIP Lounge at The 900 Shops while the Shops at North Bridge featured styling tips from Chicago Magazine fashion editor Stacey Jones. Water Tower Place hosted a night of trunk shows, informal modeling, mini makeovers and live entertainment, plus "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Teresa Giudice.
During the two-week run, our town welcomed celebrity stylist Carson Kressley, Project Runway's Mondo Guerra and a slew of Bravo's "Real Housewives." Cubs catcher Geovany Soto and pitcher Kerry Wood and Bulls guard Kyle Korver made appearances, too.
There were shopping incentives, makeovers, fashion shows, cooking demos, entertainment and more.
Party for Parkways
The Parkways Foundation's annual garden party luncheon was in Grant Park with more than 500 women donning their favorite chapeaux to benefit the foundation's "Send a Kid to Camp" Fund. Co-chairs Carol Prins and April Schink helped raise more than $275,000 this year.
