It's becoming more evident that the top of the Class of 2014 in Illinois has some exceptional talent at tight end.
One can start with Hinsdale Central's Ian Bunting, who added scholarship offers last week from Oregon and Notre Dame.
"I was ecstatic," Bunting said of his offer from Oregon. "It was my first offer from out west and I'm kind of getting around the country, expending my horizons. I am really excited about it. I am definitely very interested."

His Notre Dame offer began with a conversation on social media.
"I was actually at home from school sick in bed when I got a Facebook message to call Coach (Chuck) Martin at Notre Dame," Bunting said. "I called him back and my reaction was 'wow' and 'thank you' when he offered me. Notre Dame is definitely one of the best schools you can go to. A degree from Notre Dame is really second to none."
Bunting also has offers from Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Northwestern and Vanderbilt. Bunting visited Purdue last weekend and plans to visit Oregon in April.
Marist tight end Nic Weishar is up to 19 scholarship offers, with Kansas being the latest.
Chatham Glenwood's Daniel Helm touts nine offers, the latest from Nebraska. Helm made unofficial visits last weekend to Michigan and Notre Dame.
"I had an extensive tour of Michigan (on Saturday) and it went really well," Helm said. "I was able to sit and talk with the coaches, and overall it was a really impressive place. I would rate the visit at least a nine out of 10, and maybe even a 10."
Helm visited Notre Dame on Sunday and plans to go back.
"I had just a few hours to visit," Helm said. "I promised my recruiting coach Chuck Martin that I would come back in the spring for a full day at Notre Dame."
Prairie Ridge's Evans picks up two offers: Prairie Ridge junior offensive tackle Shane Evans added two scholarship offers recently, from Toledo and Western Michigan.
"The offer from Toledo was the first contact I've had with them, so the offer really came out of nowhere," Evans said. "Western Michigan has been interested in me for a while now. I had been staying in touch with the coaches over the last few weeks. I called head coach P.J. Fleck and he extended the offer."
Evans, who also has an offer from Northern Illinois, has drawn interest from Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Oklahoma.
A package deal? St. Rita junior Tommy Mister, who recently received an offer from Western Michigan has made fast friends, including defensive back Lamar Dawson, at his new school since transferring from Richards.
"Lamar and I have some of the same offers and we are planning to make a lot of visits together this spring," Mister said. "I know we have already talked about playing at the same college, and that would be great if it works out that way. I didn't know Lamar was at St. Rita until I started at St. Rita myself and I saw him in the hallway. We played against each other when I was at Richards and he was at Lockport, and we are becoming good friends."
Mister also has offers from Ball State, Illinois, Indiana and Notre Dame.
