The following items were taken from Oak Park and River Forest police reports:
A 22-year-old Oak Park man was charged with driving under the influence, illegal transportation of liquor and unidentified traffic violations after his car was stopped on the 400 block of South Ridgeland Avenue at 12:35 a.m. May 14.
Two Chicago youths, ages 14 and 15, were charged with theft of labor or services after they ate two orders of chicken wings and a soft drink valued at $22.17 at the TGI Fridays, 401 N. Harlem Ave., then left without paying. The incident occurred at 2:53 p.m. May 13. The same youths also were charged with retail theft for stealing three T-shirts valued at $34.82 from the Old Navy store, 417 N. Harlem Ave., at 2:14 p.m. the same day. They were found on the CTA Green Line platform at 1100 South Boulevard and were released to a parent.
A 23-year-old Oak Park man was charged with attempted robbery after he punched a Hillside man on the 0-100 block of Van Buren Street and tried to steal tools from his van. The attempted robbery occurred at 10:45 a.m. May 13.
A 31-year-old Elgin woman was charged with possession of a controlled substance after she was found with 6.2 grams of heroin on the 0-100 block of Harrison Street at 11:55 p.m. May 14.
A 45-year-old Indianapolis man was charged with soliciting in a roadway while found on the 7100 block of North Avenue at 12:50 p.m. May 14.
A 54-year-old Chicago man was charged with soliciting in a roadway while found on the 6000 block of North Avenue at 12:14 p.m. May 13.
A 29-year-old Oak Park man was charged with domestic battery for an incident that occurred at 10:30 a.m. May 12 in his house on the 6700 block of Lake Street.
Chicago residents were robbed by gunpoint of a watch and necklace, valued at $5,500, and $1,100 in cash. They were approached by a man about 5-foot-11 or 6 feet tall on the 100 block of Madison Street at 12:08 a.m. May 11. The man fled west on Madison then north in a parking lot.
Eight or nine boys ages 7 to 15 tried to rob an Oak Park boy of his bicycle and backpack and threatened to stab him if he did not comply. The incident took place on the 1000 block of South Lombard Avenue between 4:49 and 4:54 p.m. May 10. One thin boy about 12 demanded his bicycle as another boy about 15 blocked his path with his bike. Another boy pulled on his backpack while the first youth said he would stab him, if he did not relinquish it. The boy left south as the others went north.
Chicago police found a gray 2012 Honda Accord in the 5400 block of West Kamerling Avenue at 4:30 p.m. May 9 after it had been hijacked by three males, age 17 to 21. The car was stolen from an Oak Park woman as she was leaving her car inside her garage on the 900 block of North Lombard Avenue at 9:58 p.m. May 8. One male demanded her keys and took them from her hand. The three entered the car and drove south.
A 47-year-old Maywood woman was charged with driving under the influence, improper lane usage, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and leaving the scene of an accident. The crash took place at 7:59 p.m. May 11 on the 100 block of Madison Street.
A 78-year-old Oak Park man was charged with a domestic-related assault of another Oak Park resident that happened at his home on the 500 block of North Humphrey Avenue at 11:13 p.m. May 11.
A 22-year-old woman from Maryland Heights, Mo., was charged with driving under the influence after a May 11 accident on the 400 block of Iowa Street. The incident occurred at 7:46 a.m. with a 3-year-old Chicago boy and a 25-year-old Chicago woman in the car. The Chicago woman was charged with child endangerment and also is wanted on an Elgin warrant for criminal damage to property.
A 28-year-old Chicago woman was charged with driving under the influence on the 7200 block of North Avenue at 6:55 a.m. May 11.
A 52-year-old Bolingbrook woman was charged with the May 10 battery of a Chicago resident on the 100 block of Madison Street at 4:25 p.m.
A 34-year-old Chicago man was charged with driving under the influence after he was stopped on the 400 block of Chicago Avenue at 10:36 a.m. May 9.
A 34-year-old Chicago man was arrested at 11:19 a.m. May 8 on the 100 block of Madison Street on a Cook County sheriff's warrant for battery.
A 23-year-old Chicago resident was charged with the domestic battery of an Oak Park resident following an incident that took place at 8:15 p.m. May 7 on the 5900 block of Madison Street.
