Get Back at Vibe

As an ode to the Beatles and other rock greats of yesteryear, the group Get Back really knows how to transport music fans to the golden age of rock 'n' roll. This four-piece cover band will stop by Vibe at 1935 from 8 to 11 p.m. April 25. Vibe at 1935 is located at 1935 Sheridan Road in Highland Park. For details, call 847-780-4815.

Spring veggies

Spring means sunshine, warm weather and the healing powers of gardening. The Deerfield Public Library will offer a program at 10 a.m. April 26 to learn the ins and outs of container vegetable gardening. Urban gardening consultant Bill Shores will show visitors the ropes, as he specializes in creating organic gardens for urban environments. Register at deerfieldlibrary.org or by calling 847-945-3311. The future of chamber music

The Music Institute of Chicago is known for its music school and top-notch talent. Students from the institute will perform a free concert at 7 p.m. April 26. The show takes place at Bennett Gordon Hall at Ravinia Festival. The festival grounds are located at 400 Iris Lane in Highland Park. For details, call 847-266-5100.

Theatrical reading

Equity actors are known for their devotion to the craft and love of the stage. Highland Park Public Library is lucky to have such actors from the Shakespeare Project of Chicago at 2 p.m. April 27. The group will present a theatrical reading of Shakespeare's "All's Well That Ends Well," with a discussion to follow. This event is free.
