Wauconda

•A wallet was stolen from the 600 block of West Liberty Street, and access to a credit card from that wallet was attempted, according to a report filed March 3 at 3:05 p.m.

•A 30-year-old Wauconda man was arrested March 4 at 7:53 p.m. in the 500 block of West Liberty Street. He was charged with disorderly conduct for public intoxication.

•A cell phone was stolen from the 600 block of North Main Street, according to a report filed March 5 at 4:56 p.m.

•A 22-year-old Palatine man was arrested March 6 at 6:48 p.m. on Kimball Avenue at Illinois Route 176. He was charged with DUI, aggravated DUI (for driving on a revoked license), aggravated DUI (for driving without insurance), endangering the life of a child, driving without a child in restraints, driving without insurance, driving on a revoked driver's license, transportation of an open alcoholic beverage and improper lane usage. He was held over for a bond hearing.

•A 27-year-old Wauconda man was arrested at a traffic stop March 7 at 12:24 p.m. on Hollow Hill Drive at North Old Rand Road. He was charged with possession of cannabis.

•A GPS device was stolen from a vehicle parked in the 1100 block of Grand Boulevard, according to a report filed March 7 at 3:55 p.m.

•A 25-year-old Chicago woman was arrested March 7 at 5:14 p.m. on U.S. Route 12 at North Old Rand Road. She was charged with driving while talking on a cell phone, driving on a suspended license and possession of a controlled substance. She was held over to wait for a bond hearing.

•A 30-year-old Elgin man was arrested March 8 at 12:16 a.m. on U.S. Route 12 at Illinois Route 59. He was charged with DUI and failure to signal.

•A 21-year-old Wauconda man was arrested March 8 at 7:23 a.m. on Grand Boulevard at Bonner Road after being sought in connection with an earlier traffic accident. He was charged with failure to give aid.

•A laptop was stolen from a business in the 300 block of West Liberty Street, according to a report filed March 9 at 3:50 p.m.

•A vehicle was struck by another driver, who then left the area of Mill Street at Maple Avenue without stopping, according to a report filed March 13 at 10:54 p.m.

•A 27-year-old Wauconda man was arrested March 14 at 4:27 p.m. in the 100 block of South Main Street. He was charged with disorderly conduct for panhandling.

•A 32-year-old Wauconda man was arrested March 14 at 7:35 p.m. at the scene of an accident on Illinois Route 176 at U.S. Route 12. He was charged with driving without a valid driver's license and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
