Hartford Gang Member Sentenced To Five Years In Prison For Drug Trafficking

HARTFORD – A 25-year-old member of a city street gang was sentenced to five years in prison followed by four years of a supervised release Friday.

Kyrin-Robert Jackson was sentenced Friday by a federal judge in New Haven after a year-long joint investigation into drug trafficking and other violent activity conducted by members of the West Hell gang around the Westland Street area of Hartford, according to U.S. Attorney Deirdre Daly.

Jackson, who has been detained since his arrest on April 15, 2014, pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute 28 grams or more of crack cocaine, Daly said.
