The Orlando Police Department's former chief said in a recent deposition that he participated in "milk runs," in which on-duty officers would cruise city streets looking for attractive women.
Former Chief Paul Rooney made the statements during a deposition that's part of a discrimination lawsuit filed by a sergeant who is still on the force.
"After lunch, we would drive down Orange Avenue and look at the females walking up and down the sidewalk," former Chief Paul Rooney said under oath in March. When asked what he and other officers were looking for, Rooney replied, "I can only speak personally. And just attractive females."
