South, North and West side shootings leave 6 wounded

Six people were wounded during several shootings on the South, North and West sides Thursday, according to police. Most recently, a 37-year-old man was shot at 6:30 p.m.  in the 6900 block of North Lakewood Avenue in the Rogers Park neighborhood, said Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Veejay Zala. The man was shot in the right arm and was taken in good condition to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, according to police and fire department officials. Following the shooting, the man drove or was driven in a gray minivan to an alley southwest of Glenwood and North Shore Avenues, where he was stopped because the alley was blocked by a U-Haul moving van.
