Nobel winner ElBaradei to speak at Illinois State University

A Nobel laureate known for his efforts to prevent the spread of nuclear weapons is set to speak at Illinois State University. Mohamed ElBaradei (ehl-BEHR'-uh-day) will speak Wednesday evening. His topic will be "Preventing a Nuclear Nightmare." ElBaradei is the former director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency. He and the agency were awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2005 for preventing nuclear energy from being used for military purposes.
