'Child porn on demand' sends Broward man to prison

The reason a South Florida mystery man pretended to be his dead brother for years became clear Monday as he was sentenced to 45 years in federal prison for what the judge called a "child porn on demand" case. Benedict Shaw, 49, of Lauderhill, admitted earlier this year that he produced and distributed child pornography. Working with a Las Vegas man, the two set up and shot sexually explicit videos and photos of a 2-year-old Nevada girl, prosecutors said. Prosecutors revealed in court Monday that Shaw hid out — using his brother's name — because he is wanted on charges he sexually abused eight victims in his native Massachusetts.
