Two Men Dead In Separate Hartford Shootings

HARTFORD — Shortly after police cleared the scene of the city's 23rd homicide of the year, they responded to the 24th. The first fatal shooting occurred shortly before midnight Monday near 52 South Prospect St., police said. Police received several 911 calls about shots being fired, and when officers arrived, they found a 32-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper torso, Sgt. William Mooney said.
