Joliet man found not guilty in 2012 shooting outside restaurant

A Will County judge Monday found a Joliet man not guilty of murder charges connected with a 2012 shooting at a fast food restaurant. Daeviontae Pruitte, 21, faced murder charges for the death of Timothy Egner. The 54-year-old Crest Hill man was found shot to death in his car in the early morning hours of Aug. 1, 2012. Egner, who was shot with two different guns, was waiting for a friend to get off work at a Joliet Wendy's restaurant when he was killed. Joliet police found Pruitte walking near the scene of the shooting with one of the guns used to kill Egner the day after the shooting.
