A top executive is out at Oak Brook-based TreeHouse Foods, which reported slumping sales Thursday and saw its stock plunge to its lowest point in more than six years.
Robert Aiken, president and chief operating officer, resigned Sunday, the company announced. Aiken, 54, had just joined the private label food company in July.
Aiken could not be reached for comment Thursday morning. A TreeHouse spokesman didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment on the timing of or reason for Aiken’s departure.
