UPDATE: Saturday morning, Schaumburg police said Freddie Chafin was returned to his home after receiving assistance from an unknown subject. He was unharmed and appeared to be in good health.

A 72-year-old Schaumburg man is missing along with his car, Schaumburg police said tonight while asking for the public’s help in finding him.
Freddie Chafin, an Alzheimer's patient, was last seen about 3 p.m. Friday in the area of Roselle Road and Kingsport Drive in Schaumburg, police said.
He was driving a 4-door tan 1998 Ford Contour with an Illinois license plate of G671185, according to the missing person alert.
Chafin is 5-foot-7 and 170 pounds, with blue eyes and receding brown hair. No clothing description was given, but he wears glasses, according to the police alert.
Anyone who sees Chafin or his vehicle is asked to call 911 or the Schaumburg Police Department at 847-882-3534.
