A man who implied he was armed robbed a Bucktown bank branch and fled with cash this morning, police said.
The robbery happened at the Cole Taylor bank branch on the 1900 block of North Milwaukee Avenue in the Bucktown neighborhood at about 10:15 a.m., said Chicago Police Department News Affairs Officer John Mirabelli.
The man approached the teller and presented a note saying he had a weapon and demanded cash. After getting the cash, the man fled north.
The man was described as black with a light complexion and facial hair. He was between 35 and 40 years old standing between 5 feet 10 inches and 5 feet 11 inches tall. He was wearing a dark hooded sweat shirt, according to FBI officials. For more information go here.
