Regarding Monday's Supreme Court ruling in favor of Hobby Lobby, some people are a little confused on the distinctions of business ownership.
One key aspect to understanding this ruling is that Hobby Lobby is not a publicly traded company. It is a family-owned business, which makes it private, and gives it the same protections all individual citizens have under the Bill of Rights.
That is why the court affirmed the right to religious freedom for the owners.
