A woman who was ejected from an SUV during a crash on the Jane Addams Memorial Tollway late this morning near Schaumburg has died, authorities said.
The vehicle was traveling on inbound I-90 when it flipped for an unknown reason at 11:30 a.m. near Roselle Road, said Illinois State Police Tollway District Sgt. Tim Moore.
Witnesses saw the Isuzu SUV swerve to the left, strike a wall, and start to roll, said ISP Tollway District Trooper Michelle Kistulinec.
The sole occupant was dead on the scene, according to the trooper. Moore said she was thrown from the SUV.
The Cook County medical examiner’s office said the victim was an unidentified woman in her 20s.
The cause of the wreck remains under investigation, Kistulinec said.
