I don’t know what to think of a Cubs organization that owes $52 million to Edwin Jackson (2-8 with a 5.76 ERA), $5 million to Scott Hairston (.159 batting average) and $2 million to Ian Stewart (Tweeting nasty things from Triple-A). Would-be ace Matt Garza has an ERA over 6, making Alfonso Soriano’s contract look like a steal.
The new owners and management want us to believe the team is making progress. I see Starlin Castro “progressing” to the point at which he resembles a bum.
Enough. Put a quality team out there or stop lying to us. Tell it like it is: You own the Cubs just to make money and you don't care about the quality of your on-field product.
