A two-vehicle crash in the West Woodlawn neighborhood on the South Side sent four people to area hospitals this evening, officials said.

The crash happened at the intersection of 63rd Street and Rhodes Avenue at about 7:45 p.m., according to Chicago Fire Department officials.

Fire officials called for an emergency medical services response sending multiple ambulances to the crash site, officials said.

Three people were in serious-to-critical condition, with two going to John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County and the other going to Northwestern Memorial Hospital.

One person in fair-to serious condition was taken to St. Bernard Hospital, officials said.
