Police are investigating the death of a 22-year-old man who was stabbed several times on the West Side during a homicide, authorities said.

Officers found the man about 11:20 p.m. Monday in an alley near the 5000 block of West Ohio Street, Police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said.

The man was identified as Marquis Anderson of Calumet City, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.

An autopsy conducted today determined that he died of multiple stab and incised wounds and his death was ruled a homicide, according to the office.

He was pronounced dead at the medical examiner's office at 2:40 p.m. Monday, officials said.
