Cops: 3K reward offered after vandalism to police memorial

Graffiti was discovered about 6 p.m. Thursday on the memorial located near the intersection of 18th Street and McFetridge Drive, police said.
The memorial honors officers who have given their lives in the line of duty.
The Chicago Police Chaplain’s Ministry and the Chicago Police Memorial Board have posted a $3,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the vandalism, officials said.
