Chicago police are investigating the death of a 58-year-old woman in the Bronzeville neighborhood who may have had a heart attack during a domestic dispute this afternoon.

Police were called to the 400 block of East 46th St. at 3:54 p.m., said Police News Affairs Officer Thomas Sweeney.

The woman, had what was believed to be a "fatal cardiac event" during a domestic incident, Sweeney said. Detectives were conducting a death investigation, Sweeney said, correcting earlier information that detectives may have been conducting a homicide investigation.

The woman, who lived in an apartment building on 46th Street, died in one of the units of the building, neighbors and police said.

The Chicago Fire Department did list anyone as having been transported from the address where the woman was found, a spokesman said.
