A 41-year-old man was shot in the West Garfield Park neighborhood early Friday morning.

He was shot him in the leg around 1 a.m. in the 300 block of North Cicero Avenue. The man "heard shots and felt pain," police said. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital.

Police found a shotgun in an alley nearby but it was unclear whether it was used in the shooting.

No one was in custody.
