• A 16-year-old boy was gunned down in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side, authorities said. Officers responding to a call of shots fired found Angel Cano unresponsive in the 4300 block of South Paulina Street around 5:20 p.m. Tuesday, authorities said. Read more

• The body of a man was pulled from the Chicago River in the South Loop. Police recovered the body, believed to be that of a man in his 30s or 40s, around 6:50 p.m. Tuesday in the 1200 block of South Lumber Street, officials said. Read more
