• Eduardo Jaramillo ran up and down the stairs of the West Pullman apartment building screaming for help. Then shots rang out and Jaramillo fell, shot in the head. The 23-year-old collapsed outside the second-floor apartment of Elaina Chatlos, who lives with her mother and three children above the Faith & Love Fellowship Church in the 300 block of East Kensington Avenue. • A 33-year-old Chicago man wanted by the FBI for questioning in a murder investigation was captured Thursday evening near Madison, Wis., officials said. Paris "Polerowski" Poe, 33, allegedly violated his parole and was on the run from authorities, the FBI said April 23 while announcing a $5,000 reward. Read more
• Police continue to search for the gunman who wounded a 10-year-old boy who was playing outside his Austin home. His mother says the bullet remains lodged in hher son's body while decide whether to operate to remove it. Read more
