"The Book of Mormon" pulled down a whopping $1,493,961 in its first full week of sold-out performances at the Bank of America Theatre, breaking the house record for that Loop venue.

That means "Book of Mormon" raked in more cash than "Jersey Boys" during any single week of its long Chicago stand. Expect that record to be broken again as the holiday weeks approach and the cost of premium tickets rises.
