A Lindenhurst woman who celebrated her 34th birthday today was killed when she was struck by a vehicle this afternoon, officials said.
Anna Harvey was killed earlier today, said Lake County Coroner Thomas Rudd, who confirmed her hometown.
At about 2:15 p.m., a 2000 Toyota Camry traveling southbound on Route 45, north of Grand Avenue in unincorporated Lake Villa, collided with the Harvey who also traveling southbound on Route 45, according to a statement from the Lake County Sheriff’s department.
The bicyclist was transported to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, where she was pronounced dead, Rudd said.
The driver of the Toyota was not injured, and voluntarily underwent standard toxicology tests, according to the statement from the sheriff’s department.
No charges have been filed. The accident remains under investigation by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office accident investigation unit.
