Two people were injured Sunday morning in a head-on collision in north suburban Long Grove, said officials.
The head-on crash happened shortly after 8 a.m. on Hicks Road about one-quarter mile north of Lake Cook Road, according to a press release from the Long Grove Fire Protection District.
The crash involved two minivans that sustained heavy front-end damage, the release said.
Two people, who were the sole occupants of both vehicles, were taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge and Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington, the release said.
The cause of the accident is being investigated by the Lake County Sheriff's Office.
