Football: Newbury Park is making noise this summer

The timing couldn't be more perfect for Newbury Park's football program. Gone from having to face St. Bonaventure, Oaks Christian and Westlake in the Marmonte League, the Panthers are joining the new Camino League made up of Thousand Oaks, Camarillo and Royal this fall. The league will compete in the Northern Division for the playoffs with the Golden, Los Padres, PAC 5 and Tri-Valley leagues. And now the Panthers are flexing their muscles this summer.
