CVS deserves praise snuffing out tobacco sales: Their Take

Smoke out at CVS This week, all CVS pharmacies stopped selling cigarettes and other tobacco products. It was a brave, moral decision that may cost the company financially — but may gain it a lot of customer trust. Other drugstore chains ought to follow suit and make improving the public welfare a priority. CVS had said that selling tobacco products was "inconsistent with our purpose — helping people on the path to better health." It is indeed incongruous to see a store filled with medicine sell tobacco, the one product which, if used correctly, is known to ruin health.
