Four major solar plants announced for Florida: Will they actually be built?

Four major solar plants were announced for the Sunshine State in the past year or so projecting hundreds of new jobs for Floridians. But none have their financing finalized. The projects are: a 74-megawatt plant in Walton County by Santa Rosa-based Energy Farm, Inc., a 40-megawatt plant in Sorrento by Lake Mary-based BlueChip Energy, a 400-megawatt solar farm in Gadsden County by Melbourne-based National Solar Power, and a 200-megawatt plant in Hardee County by National Solar Power announced this week.
