UConn Notebook: Huskies Impress Maryland Coach Brenda Frese

In the final game of 2016, UConn traveled to College Park, Md., to face one of the best teams in the country.

For a young UConn team, it was a test: Maryland was ranked fourth and was considered a national title contender. UConn survived with an 87-81 win, yet another sign the Huskies were the team to beat on the national stage.
