Despite Low Ratings, Many Of Us Will Miss The Olympics

If you view the success of the Rio Olympics in terms of its television ratings, you might believe they were a collective failure. The demographics tell us viewership was down substantially during the Olympiad, the first time since 2000 that the numbers have not met NBC Universal's expectations. But for those of us who have been glued to the television for more than two weeks, the end of the games on Sunday will leave a void.
