Hartford's Palace 17 Showing 'Eighth Grade' Free One-Night Only

Eighth graders will be able to see the R-rated coming-of-age movie "Eighth Grade" in select movie theaters across the nation Wednesday.

The film's distributor A24 has announced that it's hosting a night of free screenings in every state on Aug. 8 and waiving the R-rating to allow kids of all ages to experience the film. There is at least one participating theater in each state.

In Connecticut, Hartford’s Palace 17 and Odyssey, 330 New Park Ave., is offering the free screening at 7 p.m. A manager at the Hartford theater confirmed that the 7 p.m. screening is first-come, first-served, free admission for all, and the R rating will be waived.
