Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, who has been slipping in recent election polls, has lost ground in another measure of success — his ranking on the annual Forbes 400 list of wealthiest Americans.
Trump's net worth was pegged at $3.7 billion, an $800 million decline from last year, according to Forbes. The real estate developer and presidential candidate's ranking fell 35 spots to No. 156 on the gilded list, released Tuesday.
Meanwhile, hedge fund manager Ken Griffin retained his title as Illinois' richest man, with a net worth of $7.5 billion, a $500 million increase over last year. Griffin moved up 12 slots to rank 57th on the list.
