Islamic Funeral Prayer Program Held For Muhammad Ali In Louisville

The City of Louisville is hosting a send-off for its favorite son. Thousands saturated the city Thursday to honor Muhammad Ali, who died last Friday. Ali was born and raised in the city, remaining connected to his roots. And the city never lost its love for the heavyweight champion and cultural icon. So it was appropriate that fans from around the world descended upon Louisville to say goodbye, with more than 14,000 squeezing into an arena for a memorial service Thursday. It was a traditional Islamic Muslim prayer service known as Jenazah, part of a two-day memorial that was planned years ago by Ali.
