Bay Area-based fashion retailer Bebe Stores revealed Friday that it will close all its stores and liquidate all inventory by the end of May.
Bebe had a total of 180 retail stores as of Dec. 31, 2016, according to the filings.
The retailer has been considering its brick-and-mortar plan for a while. Last month, the company announced that its board of directors was “exploring strategic alternatives” for the company and had hired a financial adviser and real estate adviser to help figure out options for its brick-and-mortar stores.
