Girl struck by vehicle in Milford Mill

A 9-year-old girl was struck by a vehicle in front of her Milford Mill home Friday, the second girl involved in a pedestrian accident in the Baltimore region this week.

The first crash, in Middle River on Wednesday, was fatal.

Police said Kalina Brockington, 9, was crossing Milford Mill Road near Wildor Avenue just before 8 a.m., when she ran into the path of a 2011 Nissan Versa traveling northbound on Milford Mill Road.

Brockington, of the 3700 block of Milford Mill Road, was taken to Johns Hopkins Children's Center, where she remains in critical condition, police said.

The driver, a 61-year-old Randallstown woman, stopped at the scene, and no citations have been issued.

In the pedestrian-involved accident Wednesday, 9-year-old Amaria Gould, of the 2100 block of Graythorn Road, was struck by a Dodge Charger in Middle River, police said. Gould was flown to Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where she later died.

Both accidents remain under investigation.
