A woman shot on May 10 succumbed to her injuries late last week as detectives continue to look for a shooting suspect.
On Monday, Baltimore police said Yolonda Johnson, 24, who lived in the Cherry Hill neighborhood, was pronounced dead Friday afternoon at Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where she had been hospitalized since the shooting.
Police responding to a shooting on her block of 600 Cherry Crest Road at 9:44 p.m. on May 10 had found Johnson suffering from gunshot wounds to her head and buttocks, police said. Homicide detectives have taken over the case, and police are asking the public to call (410) 396-2100 if they have any tips on the shooting.

Southern District detectives are also investigating an unrelated Saturday double shooting in Washington Village-Pigtown. At 12:44 p.m., police said, they found a boy shot in the head and right thigh and a man shot in the head in the 1200 block of Glyndon Ave. Police said Monday that both were listed in critical but stable condition at area hospitals. Police said an unidentified suspect fled the scene but they did not know of a motive in the shooting.
