Anne Arundel County police are looking for a woman who said she witnessed a man give money to two boys in Downs Park before trying to walk them into the woods. They are also looking for the boys and others who may have seen the incident on Sunday.

Police said the woman told a park ranger that around 5:30 p.m. she went over to the man and "told him to leave the children alone," then reported the incident to a ranger, police said. The ranger and woman waited with the boys for their parents.

When police arrived, the ranger pointed out a man sitting on a park bench. When officers approached the man, he took off on a bicycle, but was apprehended.

Police said they arrested James Gaglione Jr., 49, of Millersville, and charged him with obstructing and hindering police, and disorderly conduct. According to court records, he was jailed Sunday in lieu of $25,000 bail.

At some point, the women and children left the scene, but police are hoping to find them, and said the woman may be a teacher. The boys appeared to be between 10 and 12-years-old, police said. Anyone with information should call police at 410-222-6145.
