According to a police statement, tow truck operator James Frederick Schreiber Jr., 38, of the 200 block of Iris Drive in Pasadena was fatally struck while trying to help the driver of a disabled sewage truck. Investigators said he was outside his truck and preparing to tow the disabled vehicle when he was struck by a 1987 to 1995 Nissan Pathfinder, which may have been red.

Oakwood Rd, Glen Burnie, MD, USA
According to the police statement, officers responded about 8:04 a.m. to a call reporting an accident on eastbound Route 100, just before the Oakwood Road exit. According to the statement, they found a man lying on the right shoulder of the road. He was pronounced dead at the scene by county fire department personnel.
Investigators think the Nissan sustained extensive damage to the front fender on the passenger side, including the right front turn signal and possibly the headlight. The vehicle may be missing a hubcap and have a broken passenger side mirror, investigators said.
The accident closed eastbound Route 100 for more than an hour between I-97 and Hospital Drive.
